Challenge

Product team wanted to create a new, pleasant reading experience on mobile devices and increase monthly & yearly subscription rates. To achieve this, we needed to define the strategy and redesign the app from the ground up.

Process

1.Benchmark
Benchmarking is a good way to begin a redesign project to get inspiration. We identified some UX factors and examined how competitor products perform in these specific tasks.

2.Research
We embarked on a thorough user research phase, observed and interviewed users to understand the deeper implications of reading habits, motivations, and behaviors around reading and sharing magazines.

3.Build
We rebuilt the information architecture based on the insights from user interviews and validated them with users in card sorting sessions. Created low-fi mockups to test new user flows. Planned and ran design sprints together with the product owner, analysts, and developers.

4.Develop & Test
We conducted user tests and shared the findings with the team. The development team ran UAT`s to test the technical capabilities of the software.

Solution

Together, we designed a new digital experience with a focus on meticulous design detail and content discovery. We created a platform with thousands of magazines and daily newspapers that you can carry in your pocket.

The Dergilik app currently has 4.6 stars on the App Store.
